If you mean 'disagreement' as in 'fight' or 'argument', then I understand where the miscommunication lay. I simply mean it as not agreeing, i.e. having a different opinion/view.

People obviously can be and act contentious when disagreeing, but that is a separate issue from the disagreement itself.
