I suppose it depends on how one voices said opinion. "My favourite pizza topping is pineapple" and "Pineapple is the best pizza topping" are both opinions, but one is a statement of preference, and one is a factual claim. One can be disagreed with, the other can not.

I think we might have different definitions of "disagreement." For me, a difference of opinion is by definition a disagreement. It's literally disagreeing about something. Perhaps the word disagreement has a different connotation for you than it does for me.
