Thank you for your words. After feeling as utter failure again (it is difficult not to when I to try to achieve a simple fun thing and fail at even that, again), I somehow made another map and wrote sort of an except from a bigger setting (literally too, because it is an island).

There are external circumstances to this failure (workload in June, construction noise, fire alarms, Shadow of Erdtree untimely timely release (this is one time I wish the game was delayed), I was rather sick) but there is a lion share of personal faults (such as watching Dragon Ball Z Abridged)

There was that old cartoon about the turtle who was dressing up to weather but because they were slow, they always dressed up for a previous season, thus missing the opportunity to do anything right (and also have fun). I remember this turtle more and more often these days.

Yes, it is a jam, and it is for fun, and deadline is just this line in a sand that waves wash over, but still. It was something I wanted to do, on time and well, and I failed. Given it is almost noon and I must do other things, there is simply not enough time to write it properly.

I am not going to make it. Not only I am hearing that Glaze/Nightshade stopped working (meaning I can't show the map), the building is undergoing a fire alarm testing, and it takes an hour to write one location (I have about 30, + notes on the system + magical rules). I failed.

Fun idea but I cannot help but think if teleportation becomes known to everybody, it will be a lot of people suddenly popping up into good weathers. I think I'd rather have a better weather here normally than to impose on other lands.

I usually move away a step and say 'I have a nasty throat infection, if might be better if you stand a bit far away, sir', as polite as possible and as a suggestion and not a demand. Sometimes people are creeps but most of the time they just go stand away.

Do whatever colours you wish, please. Personally I am often stuck in similar palettes (I like sky-blue a lot and it doesn't help I mostly make maps which have a lot of same colours usually), but I feel I am stagnating if I don't challenge myself to do a sea with purple-wine waters from time to time.

I was always suspicious of how tidy such sketchbooks are. I think for many there is somewhere another, real sketchbook to help planning them. There is an artist (Jose Naranja) who makes very neat sketchbooks, and he once mentioned that he has 'working' sketchbook where he actually makes notes.

To me this implies that elves have a consistent number that cannot be changed and they cannot go past this number (for example, if all elves are incarnated no new children can be born without somebody dying). If I was in a game I would probably make a scholar who wishes to find this Elf Constant.

If elves can be killed, how do they replentish their numbers if they cannot procreate without dying? If elves can only re-incarnate or replentish their numbers instead of killed ones, does it mean that there is a contant/finite and defined number of elves in the world?

I am just finding something very respectful about creating such place for one's cat. Cats, for all their independence, are still largely at the mercy of us; they claim our sofas but it is still sofa for humans. This little getaway, specifically for a cat and sized for a cat, is touching.

I always start as a sorcerer but after I haven't touched my first sorcerer character since autumn 2023 I have no idea how to play a sorcerer anymore. It used to be my only playstyle but then I finally tried melee and I cannot go back. What my spells even do? Why there are so many? Where is my crab?

Elden Ring patch notes 1.12 "Decreased the effect duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear [from 15 secs to 10 secs]" They are nerfing all fun stuff out of game :/ If not for the DLC I would have stayed on my 1.02 version forever. One day I'' wipe everything and install 1.00 again.
