It's the same argument people use against taking action on global warming or any other collective problem. It's a nonsense arg leading to the false conclusion that the only way to get collective action is to use force. Evolution has different conclusions. We have evolved.

The main argument is: > “Why does anyone vote?” I ask myself. The answer cannot be that we believe that by doing so, we will influence the outcome of an election. My vote, were it not withheld, would have no such effect. Which... actually makes sense. But only IF...
