Now my first grader is developing enough skill to want to try to teach me, I adore them so I am playing along. But art of all kinds is too important to human joy to be left only to those who do it well.

The kid has a dance knack, they are not better at technically it than their peers but they ... know how to connect their body and heart in a way I can't imagine. I am happy for them and it makes me worried but it is just so clearly a thing they feel really alive doing.
