Somehow perfectly balanced at the point where she's of sound enough mind to be responsible for children and navigate consent about sex and kink with a power imbalance, but not quite sound enough to be a reliable witness to her own experiences

that's literally men for you. he's accusing someone he assaulted of being crazy- but not too crazy for him to justify being an absent parent. I've actually seen this in divorce court with friends "your honor she's nuts" the judge: So you want full custody? the man: NOW NOW calm down with all that
