Also, it's a 6 BR house, so him and his buddy are hoping to rent out the other four rooms. Which is smart, but he thinks his other nuke buddies will just pay rent and everything will be hunky dory and I'm trying to help him make sure he protects himself

IDK my unmarried shipmates had to live in the barricks when we were home, could be different based on rank though, I was married the whole time so I don't recall the exact rules, but I kind of remember some E6s having to live in the barricks too. Also could be up to the command.
