Completely forgot to post the result of the December poll outside Patreon. Patrons chose ocelot/hyena as a hybrid target (apparently wanting to murder me with spots) and I went with two of them, because why not have fun twice.

This was such a delight to read! <3 I never gave much thought to the reasons behind the wedding outfit, but this makes such a perfect sense that I consider it canon until ANet says otherwise. And probably after, too.

I'm trying to steer clear of queer self-discovery stories until I'm done finalizing my own, because similar or same ideas are bound to happen and my brain acts rather funny over it. (But by "geography" I meant in out-of-universe terms: last I checked, it was kind of a pain to import here. x))

It's always about finding the right mix of features that define each species, and then trying to meet some of them in the middle(ish). Skull shapes, hardness or roundness of features or how coat patterns and types are inherited are great indicators. Like these nanulak siblings for example.

This place runs different, it's safe to just say "Patreon". But word-mangling that artists used to do on Twitter did not work on Twitter, either (if the algorhitm is smart enough to ban "Patreon", it's also smart enough to ban "P@treon" or somesuch; all it did is make search hard for normal people).

There was a black chocobo chick in XV, and you could dye your adult birds to various skittles color in both XV and XIV, but there's no magpies (or peregrines or barn owls or anything multicolored) as far as I know. XV's style is sneaky. Most people at Kupocon thought I'm selling random birds. x)
