One reason I’m not super worried about AI taking over the world is I mentioned “I don’t especially care about the NBA” on Facebook and now my algorithmic newsfeed is half “this NBA player who you’ve never heard of is now making a bajillion dollars after signing a new deal”

It's like the absolute joy of trying to do a basic search for a product "without X" and getting 90% returns for "with X! so much X! all about the X!" Or vice versa.

I don’t worry about AI taking over the world, but I do worry about stupid CEOs embracing it and ruining many jobs and industries before they golden-parachute away to some yacht.
