I saw one the other day with stains and handprints all over it, just like a dishwasher.

Can confirm. I saw one IRL a few weeks ago in my area. Even stupider-looking in person. Just…wow. I have a stainless steel fridge, and all I could think of was if someone folded it into a dumpster shape. How to ID douchebros? They’ll own one.
