I was going to keep my great aunt Leona’s cedar chest but didn’t know where we would put it or how to move it.
I’m a bit heartbroken to see they’re selling it for $75 with a suggestion of that people COULD PAINT IT NO WTF. (Someone please rescue this.)

Normally I don’t know what befalls the items that the folks are clearing out from my parents’ house, but the cedar chest was near a security camera that monitors a door & I got an alert so I saw a young couple seem to enthuse about the chest & take it away today (one was wearing a Twins cap).

I still have dibs on my mom’s cedar chest, which is a blonde mid-century design with a flat top which is a more practical design for our small house, I think. I don’t think the interior will be in as good of shape (haven’t yet managed to open it). An acquaintance wants to buy this one . . .
