Not on Twitter so much, but I think things like anti-homeless posting on local sites like nextdoor or local subreddits can have a big impact on some local elections.

I think people who don't bike don't realize how much better visibility is. Besides being closer to the intersection and not having a box around me, I'm higher up on my bike than in my car.

Even though the demand that random pro-Palestine activists condemn Hamas is frequently bad faith, it's both morally correct and better for your cause to do it! If someone wants to unfairly smear you as pro-Hamas, why would you help them?

Yes, I've had some success with it and also flax which is probably my go to! Somehow banana seems more convenient though, since it doesn't require buying a large amount of something I only need a bit of. Flax does keep in the freezer at least.

I agree, I just think he's such a self-centered little twit that he's first and foremost concerned with his own ability to keep his little "I'm just asking questions" grift running, and then extends the same consideration to his fellow travellers as a consequence.

I've resented Subaru ever since the Texas snowstorm a few years ago, where my power was out for days, while the Subaru dealership visible from my window their lights on, despite being closed. Petty, I know, but I was very upset that week.

Do podcast editors not know that compressors exist? Very weird how frequently it's an issue. To be fair, I haven't tried to mix a podcast so maybe it's not so easy in practice, but it seems like a problem they could solve.

In math, it's a transformation that relates two mathematically identical objects while preserving their structure. So for example, if f is an isomorphism, + is a property of interest, and a + b = c, then f(a) + f(b) = f(c). One use is to rewrite a problem in a way that's easier to work with.

In my experience, they usually see "liberals" as people who are insufficiently revolutionary, usually due to wanting to work within or improve the current economic/governmental system rather than overthrowing it, and see themselves as sufficiently revolutionary "leftists".

And believe it or not, I think the US is probably in the wrong more often than it's in the right when it comes to foreign policy, so I wouldn't call myself some kind of extreme nationalist or say I just want the US to "win".

There are a variety of people who support Russia and/or oppose arming Ukraine, some of them tankies, some of them not. I also think Ukraine is not a good analogy for Iraq, because I think typically it's good to fund a country defending itself from an invasion and bad to invade a country.

If they opposed the Iraq war because they view Saddam as some kind of anti-imperialist hero, sounds like a tankie. If they thought Saddam was bad but the invasion was also bad, doesn't sound like a tankie.

Or maybe there's a wide spectrum of views under the umbrella of socialist/social democrat and it's perfectly reasonable to support someone like Bernie Sanders while not supporting tankies.
