yeah! the point is to learn your pace and limits and to practice writing, pace and so on; so whether or not you reuse the characters is entirely up to you. (and I'd say it's actually even better if you do, since you get to practice drawing the characters in the process)

they KNOW how to use blasters one of them even carries a blaster at all times they just keep favoring their stupid close combat weapons. but at least you get to teach the baby of the litter how to favor a blaster and not die like an idiot from trying to use a sword or whip for everything
