It is sadly all they have at this point. The country needs at least two parties so the hope is that the Republican Party will continue to shrink and lose nationally until the big money dries up, forcing them to reorganize as a real political party. That’s my hope anyway.

There isn’t - they are there for life - they could be removed by congress and it’s possible that a democratically appointed one could offend badly enough to be removed but this is an impossibility for Republican appointed justices.

To some degree it doesn’t matter they are appointed for life. It’s really a failure of the senate confirmation process that Alito is on the court. The senate is where the problem really is at least the one something can be done about.
