This is why I think the commentary class' reaction to Biden's performance is dramatically overblown. Few people were comparing performances; most were listening for what matters to them. African-Americans heard "black jobs" loud and clear, and Biden's performance barely registers in that light.

I think this is a major part of the problem the left has with elections in general. What will happen is obvious; it's been stated openly. But rather than amplify the clear danger, the left likes to quibble over data points and imaginary 'what ifs'?

It's important to keep in mind that the press NEEDS for this to be a panic. "The debate was pointless and predictable" doesn't get the clicks. It's too hard to explain why the rule of law is in danger, but "Biden is old" is easy to say and suits the editorial board's preferences.
