And just shouting "don't jump" at your free range dog and then doing nothing when it does jump on the poor passerby (who really dislikes strange dogs jumping on them) isn't helpful

This is me every damn day when i walk to work through the park. It is NOT an offleash park and going around adds 1 km to my trip. Im not afraid of dogs but that doesnt mean i want dog spit on my hands when i wont be able to wash them for the next 45+ min
