Awoo! The moon is still 99% full, so there’s still time for #ZooTT! This month, we reflect on interactions with the media and try to extract some lessons from those experiences! Plus, meet a pantheon of gods up to zooey shenanigans!
Hey friends! The moon is JUST about full, but boy, it’s been kind of a hard week with so much going on in addition to the podcast. I need ONE extra day to put the polish on this month’s episode of #ZooTT which is about media mastery. We appreciate your patience!
Don’t agree with our (read: my) picks? Feel free to write in and let us know what YOU consider our most important episodes! Which are your faves? Which do you think everyone needs to hear? What’s missing? What shouldn’t be included? Let’s hear your input!
New to #ZooTT? We’ve just updated our website with an “essential episodes” section highlighting 20 of our best, most impactful, and most beloved episodes, to help you skip the slog through 5 whole seasons just to get caught up! Check it out!
Awoo! It’s another full moon, and we’ve got another #ZooTT for you! This time, Lovecat takes the helm, along with his trusty crew, to navigate the salty waters of zoo discourse! (Drama not included)
Tonight on #ZooTT! Lovecat and crew discuss discussing, and how to raise the discourse. This is the first episode the team has planned, recorded, and produced entirely without Toggle! They’re learning the ropes, so give them some grace, and give them lots of kudos on a job well done!
If you found our podcast indexed somewhere and it stopped updating, contact us and we’ll see if we can set the record straight with that index :3 sometimes they scrape the internet for RSS feeds and find random junk!
Hey friends! Have you noticed your podcast app isn’t showing the latest episodes of #ZooTT? Recently we’ve noted a lot of folks having trouble. Whatever podcast client you use, be sure you’re subscribed to rss.zoo.wtf, and not some random other feed!
Have you been watching the moon in anticipation? Well, the wait is over! It’s time for a new episode of #ZooTT! This time, we take it easy and answer some of the backlog of emails we have and just have fun! Plus, check out our (fictional) movie review!
Hey everyone! Dr. Stetina’s team was accepted to speak at their conferences! They’re looking for a final push over the next 3-4 weeks on their quantitative survey to get more data. If you haven’t participated yet, please do!
Awoo! Thanks for your patience, friends! The bonus episode with the full interview with Dr. Alexandra Zidenberg is now released! If you haven’t taken her team’s recent survey, you should!
A note: to actually use bonus.zoo.wtf, you need to enter it into a podcast client or rss reader. Otherwise, it’s just a raw XML file. Sorry if this has caused confusion!
Awoooo! Y’all hungry for some bonus content? Our full interview with Dr. Stetina is now live! Stay tuned for our other interview, which we will be releasing soon!
While investigating, we discovered a publication from Sept 2023 that exactly describes our view of the IARP/FurScience's contributions and strategies. It's open access, and we’ve added it to the bibliography.
Hey all, we had to reupload the episode because something slipped past quality control. The comment about the Chasing Tail publication was not supported by the text, so it's gone. We're sorry for the error!
We worked really hard on this episode, so we want it to be accurate!
Feel free to check out the page for Dr. Zidenberg’s survey, links to other podcasts and papers, AND a transcript of the episode!
I’m still working on updating the art on the website, so bear with me while things move around a bit :3
Thanks for listening!
Awooo! The moon is still basically full, so let’s get howlin’! This month on #ZooTT, we talk with Drs. Zidenberg and Sterina, discuss what it takes for researchers to gain the trust of the zoo community, and examine FurScience!
Hi friends! I hate to say it, but realistically, we’re gonna slightly miss our deadline with the next episode of #ZooTT. But we think it will be well worth the wait!
This episode, we spoke with two researchers about what it takes to study the zoo community! Stay tuned!!
“Good is good. Good means not bad. Bad is not good. Bad is bad.” This falls flat if we don’t all agree on what’s good (love) and what’s bad (harmful). All you’re doing is trying to force your perspective by obscuring it in these words.
This is not a conversation I’m interested in having with you.
Right, that’s the specific part I thought might be hiding under the banner of “love” and “freedom.”
We’re not able to endorse sex between adults and minors, and that’s part of the problem with blanketing all these things under the banner of “love.” You’re washing over those important details.
Love and freedom are just buzz words. They’re not clear at all. They can mean anything. What are you REALLY saying?
Our stance is that interspecies sex and romance are not harmful, and that they can be mutually pleasurable and beneficial for all parties involved.
This is specific and clear.
I’m not a fan of rhetoric based on unclear, nonspecific ideas such as “love,” or “freedom” for instance. You can use those words to mean anything. The freedom to choose, or the freedom from the burden of choice, as an example.
I worry that your rhetoric is a bit waffle-y in regards to what constitutes harm (bad) and what constitutes love and pleasure (good). Feels… reductive, maybe. Or intentionally ambiguous such that it allows one to define these terms as they see fit. Be careful about what your words justify.
