I've thought about this before. I feel like having a gun is *more* likely to get me shot by an assailant. Especially if I don't have any combat training. And individually, even well-armed we have little hope against a violent oppressive state.

That said, it's good to have the *option*. Just put a lot of thought into whether using it is a good idea. Don't let emotions drive this thinking. We've all been pushed off-kilter lately.
