The Liberal Party of Canada's Comms team is absolutely terrible. Here is a policy that has a solid support with the public, yet strongly disagree with LPC messaging.

This is why I think dumping Trudeau won't change the LPC's fortunes in the next election.

I should also mention that this was a huge missed opportunity for Biden. The thing that's hurting him with progressive voters is his handling of the Gaza conflict; his answer to that question isn't going to change anyone's mind. 9b/9+

There's been good studies that show that with political debates, partisan voters will see what supports the candidate they like, and ignore the stuff that doesn't. As for independents, I don't think either one offered anything compelling. 9/9

With Trump, of course, there was the over-the-top lying, and the truly wild self-aggrandizement. I get that fact checking in real time is really hard, but Trump got away with lying way too much, being racist, and making truly unbelievable claims. And that's a problem for democracy. 5/9

Regarding Biden, yes, he stumbled and stuttered throughout, but he at least answered most questions with relevant talking points. He did sound really old though, and the Rs are going to lean into that. They should have given Biden the adderall. 2/9
