So, anyway, don’t vote Labour. They’re going to win anyway and the Tories are screwed, so if you’re trans or an ally the least you can do is lodge a protest vote with the Lib Dems or the Greens or Plaid or whoever the fuck.
It is depressing, with such an unpopular Tory government, Labour could have ran as a proper alternative, instead they ran on a platform that would be nearly mistaken with the tories
But absolutely do vote. Even if the party cannot win in your seat, as long as they get one MP somewhere your vote helps them get public funding called "Short money". www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/explainer/ru... Or if there's a really good indy then help them get their deposit back.
The UK sounds like Canada in the sense of the conservatives are fash and the liberals are fash lite so the options are vote NDP or Green and hope their presence lights enough for a fire underneath the asses of either of those parties to improve society somewhat.
can’t even hold my nose and vote for Labour for my local MP (who has a half-decent voting record, and has responded well when i’ve contacted them in the past) because they’re stepping down. will be Green or a spoiled ballot for me.
There's enough general outrage right now, that it looks like Labour will probably have to form a coalition government. Kid Starver literally burned away something like 12 points, that they'll have to team up with the Lib Dems or Greens to even get anything done.
