I have failed in trying to persuade my dad not to vote Labour because of their transphobia and lodge a protest vote instead. I am trying not to blame him. He has had Labour brain since the 1960s. It’s incurable at that stage.

I too have had Labour brain. I had it from 2013 to 2017 and I relapsed again in 2020, before getting out again in 2022. And I still vote Labour for Welsh elections. Perhaps Labour brain is never truly curable, only treatable by voting Lib Dem or Plaid or whoever at GEs.

My mum is eternally traumatised by 1992 and convinced Labour will somehow lose if she doesn't vote for them.
