Yes, both past *and present* is. In France, a major nuke proponent, 2/3 of reactors are on special permit, *cause they are too old to get a normal one*, and they have to wind down in the summer recently since there's not enough f*cking cooling water in the river! They buy wind energy frm GER instead

All fine, but almost half of them are on their death bed, or beyond (meaning; running on bribes and special authorizations as their main fuel) Nuke energy is the neanderthal of energy tech, but think of a neanderthal who recently drunk a gallon of mercury while paddeling a dugout

LOL Nuke industry keeps promising this since *60* years, with most nuke waste still ending up in moist leaky abandoned mines, or Sibirian beaches, and to this date, Taxpayers of all countries continue to pay for it

IKR The *actual* "Tragedy of the Commons": – first, they took our land away (some 500 years ago), 'cause nobody ever thought tgo fence it in – then, they put a price on the air we breathe, to profit frm polluting it further – next, they take our silence since we missed to slap a price tag on it 🙄

I'm sure, you're aware that the number of nuke plants under contruction right now (some of them for decades), *globally* is about 35. Also, that planning, licensure, building costs of n plants have tripled if not quadrupled in the last 2 decades. Not even talking abt absurdly increasing constr time.
