I think he could generate a ton of sympathy if he retired for medical reasons. No one would question it. He could campaign for the new choice.

I said something similar a few days ago: they must have known about this for months. I'm starting to think if we run a viable candidate we destroy Trump at the polls. People want a good choice, they are literally gagging for it.

The other thing that bugs me is the insistence that "he's the president, that gives him an advantage" and yes, historically, that is true. But it's also true that we've never seen a president this incapacitated. I think everything needs to be on the table here.

100%. I saw a segment where Biden just sort of wandered off somewhere and then was staring into space and it reminded me of McConnel. The debate just really drove that home for me. He's really not fit and it's about the dumbest thing that Dems could do to insist he is.
