I spend months using satellites to trace what years of war have done to settlements in Ukraine. I found about 210,000 damaged or destroyed buildings, many of them protected under the Geneva Conventions t.co/q3bpXlAKwM this is the grim picture of what Ukraine has lost.

Colors of an aurora depend not only on which element is emitting light, but also on *where* it is. Oxygen at high altitudes glows red; at lower altitudes it glows green. Purple nitrogen is lower still. Weird, right? 🧪

Behind me, you can see 1 tonne of CO2 at atmospheric pressure.
It's enormous.
In a few hours of flight, we emit that amount (per passenger!). To remove it with #DACCS, you need to pump air 35,000 times through 20% efficient devices.
Preventing emissions is much easier than fixing the problem later.
