Biden’s obvious decline is, however. First of all because he's the president and Trump isn't. Secondly because we've been told time and again that talk about Biden's age was unfair and unwarranted. That he was still sharp as a knife. So his debate performance shocked a lot of people.

And thirdly, because Trump is the most dangerous presidential candidate in our history and Biden isn't coming off as someone who can beat him. So there's a level of panic going on.

I get it. I think Trump's bs was shocking, too. He wants to be POTUS and this time he'd have willing soldiers to do whatever with full immunity. Seems at least as scary.
