She's a terrible public speaker and even worse in one-on-one interviews. Her last campaign crashed and burned fairly early, despite her being considered a leading candidate by the Dem establishment. She was the great hope, but couldn't cut it.

3/ It's not exactly like concerns about Biden's age are new. They've been around since he entered the 2020 primaries. Those concerns aren't going away. Instead they've reached full 5 o'clock alarm level. Biden isn't suddenly going to get younger over the next 4 months.

The argument that campaign-finance laws will punish any nominee other than the incumbent is an embarrassingly weak one for Biden’s campaign team to be making. As is the argument that some states won't allow anyone but Biden on the ballot at this point. Neither is true.

As far as I can tell, people seem to generally have many conversations on all these subjects. Besides, they are interconnected anyway. E.g, the Supreme Court legalizing Trump being dictator for life makes it all the more pressing to stop him; hence questions about Biden’s fitness to do so.

I don't think Biden stands a chance at this point. Had this happened to any other president, he'd be out in front of the public all day, every day, trying to turn this around. TV interviews, town halls, rallies, campaign trail. To show that he isn't what people saw at the debate. But he isn't.

I believe a fairly large percentage of people who voted for Biden in 2020 would likely have voted for almost any candidate not Trump. And I think many on the Biden team believe his victory was because he magically fired up voters despite hardly campaigning before Super Tuesday.

Right. And Democrats know this, which is why everyone is panicking over Biden’s inability to come across in the debate. I also think the Biden team hasn't fully understood to what degree the 2020 election result was based in a referendum on Trump rather than enthusiasm for Biden.

GOPs are a lot more lockstep authoritarian and as for the other candidate, he has a complete lock on the party. They're either too terrified or too MAGA to do it.
