My work did a pretty abrupt about-face with this, and lost a sizable chunk of good people because of it. Years of WFH with no restrictions, to having to choose on paper if you’re fully remote or not. Then suddenly you must be in office three days a week if you live within 50 miles.

Another part is the thawabit piece, in particular the right to resist portion. Obviously there are things Israel has done that Palestinians should resist. Jews, even ones that agree with that, are still wary of it as it has been abused as justification for terror against Israeli civilians.

Many Jews view this as capitulating to a mob that wants to destroy Israel. I can see where they are coming from when ONLY considering the terrible people in the crowds, but not when I view it as a whole.

Has anyone written a piece on humanities envy among tech bros? The fact that one of the first things they did was go, “AI can write prose! No more writers! YES! And it can make pictures! No more artists! HAHA!” instead of just focusing on AI’s ability to do STEM stuff is so telling.

Seriously, if reporters are going to ask questions about Biden’s capabilities solely because he’s old and not because of any actual mistakes made, then they should also ask about the mental capabilities of younger candidates who insist on wildly untrue things.
