My knowledge isn't in direct experience with distribution but reading a bunch of filmmaking advice books. The sort of thing people who would cold-email Mara Wilson to be in their horror movie would devour. I wasn't sure if streaming helped maintain the demand for cheap horror or not.

The horror movie ecosystem is honestly inspiring as an economic engine in the industry. Horror fans buy DVDs and Blu-rays! Horror fans buy convention tickets! It's honestly warped the landscape of low budget film since it's the most reliable way to get distribution, regardless of genre.
