I think the answer to that is "yes," with the proviso that it believes the Syrian regime can successfully stifle the SDF on the long term. I don't think that Ankara is classically expansionist; I think it has inherited the traditional Turkish allergy to any manifestation of Kurdish identity.
wrong question imo. the point is that assad is a murderer and there are some people only protected by turkey but they need more rights, because the protection isn't very good and doesnt include like freedom or clean water. but assad would be worse.
