This happens every year, its exhausting that folks keep playing the oppression olympics with aces. They keep ignoring that, surprise, we do actually face discrimination in several areas and that they're perpetuating it by trying to erase it. (Not that discrimination is necessary to be queer ofc!)

"but what if they're not REALLY..." Then i guess they fall under Q for Queer or Questioning - like, we've got room for people who are figuring stuff out, too. It's almost like all of our identities exist on a spectrum & are based on self-exploration and self-identification, Fuck Gatekeeping.

Been trying to tell the FLINTA toilet argument people in Ger that they need to understand the A is only for aces (esp in that regard) because agender is already in the nonbinary umbrella and they didn’t even want to accept that the concept of being ace exists so the bar is sadly very low still

The fact that straight people/the general cishet populace struggle to understand and empathize with asexuality and how people can live like that, BY ITSELF, categorizes it as a queer identity.
