It is a little disturbing how Biden sounding like an old man is shaking more people than his policies involving Israel. Yeah, he's old. We all know that. But his refusal to help Palestinians is a little more severe and proof he isn't just senile.

The video essay focuses less on specific shows and more on how companies (especially Disney) takes queer stories and commodifies them to appeal to general audience, shaving off the problematic elements out of fear of causing offense. But people seemed to misunderstand that. Drastically.

@agramuglia.bsky.social’s recent excellent video on Star Wars fandom’s current habit of digesting the franchise through secondary/tertiary sources reminds me of the state of much of anime fandom circa 20 years ago, due to a similar lack of access to primary source.

Really good video! As it comes to Hermione's activism, it really is weird, both in how Rowling treat it in-universe and when talking about it, if it wasn't for Rowling's open bigotry.
