I'm ending comments since I got so many answers (thank you!) I have realized a) I take cold, short showers, which is a factor b) I have very dry skin and need to moisturize ASAP, so being wet doesn't bother me c) the bed is sacred and I would never get it wet d) I don't want to lose time post shower

Ah, that's not a problem I have ever had. Skin issues mean my showers have to be on the cold side, which also may be why I'm scrambling to get dressed

I will say, I'm someone who has to bundle tasks to maintain momentum, so everything I do that requires multiple steps has a mise en places/prep stage to keep me from crapping out mid-task. Showering can be one of those onerous tasks for me, so I don't allow myself the chance to stall out.

I spent most of my life with full body eczema and had to slather myself with cream within like 2 min of de-showering, so this may have contributed to my shower-slather-dress path. Drying = cracked skin

Help an autistic out. People always talk about showering and sitting on their bed in a wet towel dissociating or something after, and I'm like, why did you not bring your clothes into the bathroom with you?? I have never meandered in a towel. My clean clothes sit in on the counter while I shower.

Part of this is because when my partner wasn't taking anti-depression meds, their depression was BAD. Like scare the shit out of me bad. I'm not suicidal (actively or passively). I'm just overburdened with emotions to the point of apathy. 2/2

Being a "high-functioning" depressed person is fun because you don't look depressed, you're still doing stuff, but in your head, you are screaming and dragging yourself through every day. I think this is what I have, but I keep dismissing my own symptoms as not being bad enough. 1/2

Pre-existing conditions bans: insurers reserved right to limit a person’s insurability if they had certain illnesses prior to getting insured. You know what completely innocent NICU babies are? Giant clusters of pre-existing conditions. The most vulnerable, the most innocent, the most uninsurable.
