I took a few extra days off around the 4th of July holiday, and in my head, I basically retired so going back to work today has been truly awful.😂😭 I even like my job - I just can’t get it together today. I’m retired, don’t ya know?

One of my friends was super convinced that dog vaccines were a money grabbing scam until her puppy died of distemper. It was a horrible and preventable death. She vaccinates now.

If things to do go down as badly as we fear, some future historian will be able to create a glorious “I told you so” timeline from this historical record. This is a small comfort to those of us who have to live this. But nobody will be able to say that we didn’t know this could happen.

Bessie the Happy Hound is in decline. Our vet says it could be tomorrow or another six months- but we are definitely on borrowed time at this point. I want to spoil her as much as possible, but I’m not sure how I can possibly spoil her even more.

The first house I owned had a carpeted kitchen and a carpeted bathroom and it was one of the first things I changed. It was so impractical and strange to me that somebody deliberately made that design choice.

I am on other medications for the other garbage number, and they have said they will not be paying for the expense medication ever unless I get *insert specific disease* but I’m on track now, so fingers crossed I guess?🙄

Finally went to the doctor and got blood work and my thyroid is ok,so I guess I just am exhausted by life or something?OTOH, my new insurance refused to pay for a really expensive medication because they said I didn’t need it, and another number immediately turned to garbage again, so there’s that.
