Same. It's the utter lack of remorse that makes it way more likely than normal

I am familiar with exactly two cases where a convicted defendant at sentencing insisted he wasn’t really guilty…

Luckily he learned his lesson in the Carroll and Trump Org case, that utter lack of remorse really helps in the sentencing.

Not just the lack of remorse, but the repeated displays that he will continue to engage in misconduct because he doesn't believe that the rules apply to him. He was held in contempt ten times! He called the guy who's going to sentence him corrupt after he was convicted!

And am I right to presume the constant attacks on the judge, his daughter, his clerk, etc. could factor in at sentencing even if they didn’t lead the judge to jail him for contempt during the trial?

When it was originally charged I was more inclined to thinking he'd get a 30-day suspended sentence, but the way they've conducted themselves in the trial, I'm not at all confident of that now.

So if jail is the sentence on July 11 - does he go straight to jail that day or is he allowed out on appeal?
