I think a lot of Jewish Americans are actually ignoring to American Jewish history I have in-laws who seem to think American Jewish history starting about 1880s which is somewhat absurd because Jews have been in North America when New York was originally called new Amsterdam

I grew up in a Jewish family and TBH even I someone Jewish doesn’t know what’s antisemitism because the definition seems to be changing We are in a time of weaponization and the use of terms like the holocaust or anti semitism to further a political point it’s really sad it dilutes its meaning

Go to a deli and I would suggest Snowden is the best or Schwartz’s everything else bad Also I don’t know the name but there’s a French bakery at the bottom of Mount Royal then go to the top such a great view also at walk around the miniature pool for toy sail boats The old city is great too

For me I don’t see myself as indigenous I can trace my ancestors all the way back to 1400s in Portugal in a town called viseu yet I’m not indigenous My maternal side is Black from Caribbean and Suriname

Ok the one thing I have to say as a Jewish guy is I don’t associate indigenous with Jews not that we don’t have a connection to the land but its not indigenous I do think the term is used politically towards the setters cause in the West Bank something that I find repulsive and not at all Judaism
