If you've cut yourself and you're in a pinch you can use army ants to help close a wound. It is believed that ants have been used in various native communities as field sutures. Here is one with its mandibles chomped on to my finger. Ecuador cloud forest near Mindo

I’m old enough to remember the New York Times pushing Americans into the Iraq war that killed a million people, greatly weakened our international standing, and diverted vast resources into the pockets of a few billionaires. It’s always been this bad.
