We’re particularly vulnerable while our OIA allows information to be withheld only on the claim that it would prejudice international relations, with no public interest override. Without that, almost impossible to expose how MFAT and others are dealing with it or advising ministers.

What I find interesting is how Israeli media often report things more honestly than ours. Some of the reporting there, if printed here, would have the pro-Israel lobby apoplectic with accusations of antisemitism and demanding resignations.
