Feeling very weird after the osteopath yesterday and have a fresh respect for how the horses feel after a treatment. Feeling expectedly sore (well, mildly-moderately) so I'm hoping everything settles over the next couple of days and I may start to feel some changes then. Can only be positive 🤞

After a bit of research, this is thankfully common - and looks like a likely cause of a lot of my chronic soreness. So, at least I can focus on stuff to actually help me now, with my gym trainer already in the loop.

Uh, so seeing the osteopath was a revelation. Unsurprising that there was work for my shoulder and hip (for the knee) and then he starts talking about hypermobility and "of course" I do x, y and z because of it. Excuse me what now?

Okay in no particular order, some thoughts about 25+ years of small press publishing. 1) Books are hard. Expensive to print, expensive to ship, expensive to store. We're all very proud of the quality and service we provided over the years, but it came at a cost.

Treatments are quite tiring, the challenging one was quite emotional and there was a really big release. I may have made my client cry. (To clarify, this was equine bodywork)

I love this take. To me (to hop on this), writing is about connection as this has been such a key theme in my life: connecting your words and story with a reader. It's about telling the story you want to tell, bringing your own take on something to the table and letting it exist where it needs to.

Made a mistake at the yard as well, didn't realise I was the last person and needed to lock up the other areas (which I wasn't using as I'm in a separate area of the yard). Yard managers are OK with me, but I feel like such a fuckinh idiot.

An exceedingly long, hot, tiring day. Back and forth to the yard as had the vet in the middle of the day for vaccinations. Managed to properly wash them both and not just hose off with a cooling solution too. Feeling very drained multiple ways.
