Not going to amplify the stupid take by a random I just saw Twitter-screenshot, for multiple obvious reasons, but really if your problem with a Superman film is that it's going to show him "rescuing cats and dogs", maybe you don't actually want to watch a Superman film?

Somewhere in an alternate universe, that person is hooting and hollering at the Overman movie.

They just want Homelander to be the hero and not the villain.

Spider-Man rescuing the bodega cat in that one MCU movie was one of the best parts. Also, I thought everyone agreed that one of the things most missing from cape films are them, y'know, saving ordinary folks. Whatta buncha maroons.

I would really love a low stakes Superman film. I’ve had my fill of superheroes saving us from aliens, other superheroes and universe-destroying threats. And I don’t want the final 30 mins of the film to be a big CGI battle. “Superman Jojns the Trumpton Fire Brigade”. I’d pay to see that.

I need to see a cat rescued from a tree, and one (1) giant robot punched into the sun.
