In true Shrek fashion, it has to be said this way... It's not ogre yet. Also, looks like it's going to have an additional Illumination touch with the Minions: The Rise of Gru co-director on board and the founder himself Chris Meledandri producing this. This is going to be interesting.

I watched Despicable Me 3 again in order to get ready for the 4th movie tomorrow. I'll admit that it's not the best of the franchise...but I just can't hate it. It's generally cute and it made me laugh more often than I'd expect. It's a fun movie and I hope DM4 will, at minimum, do the same thing.

It doesn’t matter what the narrative is. The big goal for right-wing grifters like him is to make sure that predators can always get away with their crimes and not face any consequences for it, even if they go after minors. The Quartering just wants to make that dream become real for himself.

And yet, optimism is also what we need in order to accomplish our goals. It's the one motivator to keep up moving forward and not give up. It's what helps us appreciate the things that are around us, even if they may not be amazing, instead of responding in a destructive way.

The movie illustrated that beautifully with Joy's epic rant. Sometimes optimistic people like myself want to blow our lid towards the cynics because we want to enjoy life, even when things can get challenging or when people are collectively upset over something.

What's worse is when having joy can lead you to be punished, where wanting to be happy can result in you being scolded by others who are mad that you're not as miserable as them and be labeled as "delusional", "a shill", "cringe", , etc. just like Joy's motivation to find Riley's Sense of Self.

What I have to consider to be one of the best moments of Inside Out 2 is when Joy snapped at the other emotions when called "delusional" because it highlights a truth than no one wants to talk about. It's actually tough to be an optimist nowadays.
