Yup. I once got in an argument with my dad and tried to *very gently* remind him that I am in polisci (theory, but still). His response “yeah, well I watch msnbc” 🫠

Both my parents are inveterate Boomers, and still get and faithfully read the NYT cover to cover every Sunday--paper, natch. So, there is that. Idk. I haven't seen any actual swing or undecided votes or numbers (obv no one has seen meaningful polls yet). Mostly I see Dems commiting seppuku.

I think my dad was just going off his own impression. On the other hand, he was dooming over the polls. And--I'm not -entirely- convinced the polls are accurate. It may be hopium. Anyway, he just texted to apologize if he upset me. We're good. I said, hey, us arguing won't change outcome anyway
