It was either you, or someone else, that pointed out "dystopian fiction is such because it's written by white people in regards to what would happen if white people experienced what everyone else has been living for years".
The corollary is the total terror of white people at the idea of losing power because we have seen what we did with it and are terrified someone else will do that to us. "I tremble for my country when I reflect" and all that.
I always HATED the novel “the handmaid’s tale” because MA totally glossed over mass genocide of POC by “sending them to the colonies” … to center it on “pretty white women used as broodmares”.
