I worked in digitizing records for a power company, and they might neither know nor care. They care about outages insofar as they affect aggregate profits or a major client, otherwise there are parts of the map where I'd ask: "Where does this power line go? Is it active?", and just got a big shrug.

It's a weird show where the rebirth element feels like a pitch gimmick that's then discarded in any practical sense. But it's a bad sign when a show practically turns to the audience more than once to say "this isn't creepy, don't you dare call it creepy!"

I can't say I use them too much as a player! Most persistent effects and penalties I use a lot are are specific class of spell effects, since those most often ignore having to sweat the swingy saving throws of this edition. Sleep empowered by Instrument of the Bards was handy, I suppose.

Preparing summaries for art commissions can be a real trial as a writer, realizing you can't just say, "a mutant bodega cat", no, you have to figure out how to communicate that a cat is a bodega cat without ever saying it. (I figured it out, I don't need suggestions, but it was tricky.)

on a little further reading, people are getting got here by fake news, the “scientist” in question is basically a short film director and instafluencer with no connection (as far as i can tell) to the actual startup cognify, who are based in germany and are a data science provider, not an AI firm

It's a creation of a literal sci-fi author (and self-dubbed "science communicator") who does short films like the "Ectolife" which also went viral... it's not a real startup. Mind, the video is presented without context (better for clicks), but it's good to check sources on wild claims like this.
