Fun to get through the new raid, awesome that I didn't have to grind all the way up to be able to do it, now I'm sorta free. Not halfway through the season and there's nothing to do free like season (okay we call them episodes) barely started and I've completed the only objective I cared about.

But it's a grind-based looter shooter with core activities you're supposed to grind on. And that fucken sucks. It's core loops are designed to be time black holes with log-scale rewards in order to satisfy folks with absolutely nothing better to do -- like I was at the time. Now, not so much.

Destiny was my isolation/unmedicated depression game (huge shout out to blen for that) and it was honestly really good for me (at least better than DoTA which I'd never accuse of being good) during 2020. Raiding is fun. Enjoy doing the coordinated 6-person activities, gaining mastery and executing.

I was talking to a friend about this last night and the thing that I think DUNC 2: 2 DUNC 2 WORMY kinda fell flat on is the extent to which Paul is both the bad guy and also sorta trapped. The whole "you need to see" sequence just doesn't match tonally with Jessica's very calculated manipulation.
