I’ve said this in another thread but “how are you supposed to commission an artist without a reference” is one of the most dumb takes possible. I bet his mind would be blown knowing I’m the artist who’s often responsible for making sure other peoples’ OCs have a reference in the first place. 🧠 🗑️

I'm colourblind, having a ref would be preferable BUT I can EASILY get by with a written description and a labelled colour pallete. I had someone give me a Mii from Miitopia as a ref and I still managed to create from that. Doesn't have to be complicated, just has to show what the person wants.

Amazing how every character ref sheet ever was just redraws of the same ref sheet until A/I freed us from just using that same ref sheet forever. Shame the origins of that original ref sheet have been lost to time now I can’t tell A/I to make a weird copy of their style with fucked up hands
