Also, the GoFundMe for Dino has reached an incredible $4960, and I am hopeful we can get to $5000. Ben and I are blown away by the support and so grateful to every single person who has donated or offered kind words. GoFundMe:

Dino continues to do well, but we've hit a minor recovery set back. He has developed a seroma on his chest, which is a fluid build up, common post-surgery. We got advice from the vet and it should clear up in a week or so. More details on my blog:

Dino had a rough night followed by a pretty good day. He had visitors, got a new toy, and had a pretty big recovery milestone - a poop! More details and a couple of photos on my blog: megantannock.wixsite.com/home/post/da...

Dino had another rough night. I've been "sleeping" (laying on the floor) next to him to keep him from panicking about the leg and the cone when he wakes up with all the drugs. I am tired, but doing everything I can for him.

Dino's first night at home was rough, but he is safe and in good spirits. We have set up a GoFundMe to help with the veterinary expenses, and we would appreciate any help you can offer, even if it is just to share the fundraiser!

Have you ever thought you spend too much time on your phone scrolling while eating, instead of being present and mindful with your food?
Might I suggest my tried and true method of shredding and inhaling half a rotisserie chicken with your bare hands at the kitchen counter?

Ooooooh cool result from Emily Pass showing that Jupiter-analogs to terrestrial M-dwarf planets are rare. This may have huge implications for water delivery to these rocky, temperate planets, which are the only potentially habitable planets we can study in the near future. #aas243 ππͺ

I never read the books, so without the childhood nostalgia the whole premise is a bit silly to me. BUT the first few episodes have been fun. The characters are likable and the effects aren't corny. My partner is a fan of the books, so we're watching it for his nostalgia.

Public beta testing of my first feature for our software has been a journey. Bugs come in two categories: hard to find, easy to fix and easy to find, hard to fix. The former is most common and nothing is ever easy/easy or hard/hard.

Last night I saw an amazing fireball meteor. Super bright, long red tail right before it burned up, and at the very end I could see it break up in to 3 or 4 clear separate pieces. So cool!

Our update today provides the foundation for a comprehensive climate model, focusing on temperatures of planets in SE! I worked very hard on this, with great mentorship from SE's owner, Vladimir, and lots of help from the rest of the team. It is so exciting to see it out in the world!

I am seeking something like this: ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016MNRA... where someone has taken detailed numerical ephemerides and turned them in to analytical ephemerides, specifically for all of Pluto, Charon, Hydra, Kerberos, Nix, and Styx.

This isn't quite what I am looking for, but I really appreciate you looking at your resources for me! From what others have said it looks like what I am seeking doesn't really exist. Others have suggested I just do my own N-body simulation. ;)

ephemerides - that's okay. I need something more compact and with a longer time span than the JPL numerical ephemerides. I'm new to this field, but I'm starting to think I either overlooked something, or this doesn't exist for Pluto +its moons...Anyone have any leads? :) (2/2)

I'm on the hunt for analytical ephemerides for Pluto and its moons. I need something with a format along the lines of VSOP/TOP: tables of Fourier or polynomial coefficients valid for thousands of years (+code to compute positions, hopefully). I know this sacrifices precision over numerical (1/2)
