If he does resign, he really does need a week or two where elected Democrats have backed off so it doesn't look like he's just buckling to pressure. You want tonight's interview to go well, not be a disaster, so he can exit gracefully. (If he does plan to exit.)

Why are we still entertaining the idea that he's dropping out? He's said in no uncertain terms that it's done, he's not dropping. Seems like we're done here.
