Both candidates taking a question about affordable childcare and ignoring it to have a dick-measuring contest about who’s the best president is the most USA shit ever.

Look, I'm not for rooting for anyone to come to active harm (except Mitch McConnell), so I hope the leopards *don't* eat your face. But if you think the leopards *won't* eat your face because of some philosophical difference between "good" and "bad" pregnant people, you are sorely mistaken.

Healthcare bans are not only dangerous for people experiencing unwanted pregnancies, they are dangerous for ALL PREGNANT PEOPLE. If you think the fact that yours is a wanted pregnancy will protect you from a healthcare ban, you are delusional.

Lots of people over at Vox calling this fear-mongering because "there are exceptions in the bans to protect people's health." If you read the comic, you can see ample evidence that these exceptions don't actually work and plenty of people have been egregiously harmed by denials of healthcare.

Cleveland held a second Ten Cent Beer Night promotion later that summer, and this time had a two-beer limit. #NeverForget

THE END!

Many, many people were injured (including Cleveland’s relief pitcher and two of the umpires). Drunk fans WRECKED the field, stole all the bases, and caused a decent amount of damage to the stadium,

The players on both teams) fought through the mob in groups and retreated through the dugouts. The umpires had to call the game off because the riot continued even after the players evacuated the field.

Afraid that the drunk mob would actually kill the Rangers, Cleveland’s manager sent the Guardians players out armed with baseball bats to fight their own fans, who were throwing folding chairs, rocks, and lit firecrackers at the Rangers.

Of course, drunk Cleveland was like “let’s fucking gooooooooooo” and the fans POURED onto the field. They threw glass bottles, armed themselves with chains, knives, and weapons they LITERALLY CREATED FROM PIECES OF STADIUM SEATS THEY WERE RIPPING APART. The mob surrounded the Rangers players.

Texas’ manager had pretty much had enough of Cleveland’s shit at this point and sent his bench onto the field to defend his outfielder. Some of them brought bats.

The Guardians tied the game up in the bottom of the ninth, and here’s where the shit really hit the fan. A teenager ran onto the field and tried to steal the cap from a Ranger’s outfielder.

Oh, also, long before this point, the crowd was drinking so fast, they couldn’t get beer to the concession stands quickly enough. The workers became so overwhelmed, they started letting drunk fans refill their cups directly from the industrial beer trucks behind the outfield fence. 10/10 GREAT idea!

By the 7th inning, anyone who wasn’t a belligerent, drunken asshat abandoned the stadium, leaving behind a crowd made up entirely of your dad’s worst, most intoxicated buddies.

Cleveland fans pelted the Rangers first basemen with hot dogs. Someone almost hit him with an empty gallon jug of Thunderbird! Fans threw LIT FIRECRACKERS into the Ranger’s dugout. This was Cleveland sports fandom at its most Cleveland, folks.

Needless to say, people got absolutely hammered. Early on in the game, a woman ran on-field and tried to kiss one of the umpires. A father-son team jumped into the outfield and mooned the crowd. A streaker stole second base.

Beers were 10 motherfucking cents. (That’s 62 cents in today’s money. Can you imagine???) You could only buy 6 beers at a time, but there was NO LIMIT to how many beers you could buy during the course of the game. Bad idea, Cleveland!!

Ten Cent Beer Night, June 4 1974, was a promotion to drum up attendance by baseball fans at Cleveland Stadium. The Guardians were playing the Texas Rangers. (If you google this, the Cleveland Guardians had a different name then, but it was shitty and anyway we’re not dead-naming during Pride Month!)
