Hey folks, on this 4th of July, the New York Times chose to publish an opinion piece entitled "Why I Don't Vote. And Why Maybe You Shouldn't Either." The piece hides that the author has previously published material directly opposing democracy. (2/)

Let me just state how incredibly wrong this sentiment is, especially on today of all days. A day that, yes, is often seen about celebrating the US, but is more fundamentally about celebrating the right of self-determination, a right that can only be guaranteed by true and active democracy. (3/)
