I'm so close to deleting reddit. I had someone spam replying to all my comments calling me a pedo until I blocked them on my back-up account, as if this type of stuff happening on my main account wasn't bad enough. Like genuinely what is wrong with people nowadays?

I get where you're coming from, but at least from my experience when people say "be kind" they normally mean towards innocent people, not the fucked people you're mentioning here. I don't know if you've had people say to be nice to terrible people, if you have sorry, but I don't know your experience

No matter which side you look to there'll be people with somewhat fair reasoning and then people who are fucked in the head. Politics are sadly just a messy cluster fuck of disasters. I too wish we could just all get along, but sadly people will be shit no matter what. Not much I can do for ya there
